urn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:euaggelizoeuaggelizoeuaggelizoeuaggelizo2007-09-03T17:17:45Zurn:lj:livejournal.com:atom1:euaggelizo:1191WWJD2007-09-03T17:17:45Z2007-09-03T17:17:45Z<div class="commentText">It's what he did......<br /><br />In the quest of man to be like Christ it seems that an attempt is made to invoke forgiveness. <br />Man has not the power to authorize forgiveness, no matter how much like Christ he attempts to be. <br />It would seem to me that man only has the ability to exhibit the love of Christ, and should not make any attempts otherwise.<br /><br />Forgiving the trespasses of another against you requires love, <br />but that love does not have the power to absolve anything else other than the relationship between the two individuals.<br /><br />As only God offers forgiveness and absolution through the blood of Christ, <br />only God should make judgment upon sin, or to truly understand an idea of sinfulness.<br /><br />It is doubtful that mankind is able to really know or understand trespass outside of his own understanding. <br />True, the wisdom of the Holy Spirit can infer to us understanding and discernment, <br />but any attempt to establish truth beyond revelation begins the path of judgment. <br /><br />Man must act in forgiveness when he understands the trespass and should limit action to revelation and understanding, <br />not to establish any hypothesis or make judgment or condemnation upon such opinion.<br /><br />Even so, as we are given discernment and understanding in any situation of sins of trespass, <br />all that we may do is to withhold judgment, <br />this truly is the power in "...as we forgive others" that allows the grace of God to absolve the situation and act upon both parties. <br /><br />If we have removed the force of the trespass by acting in forgiveness toward an individual,<br />it still takes the grace of God to move in the heart of the second person,<br />until thaty choice is made, we have no power or authority other than to wait upon grace.<br /><br />Likewise, people have no power to interfere in the actions of others, <br />unless the action directly effects of the relationship between the two, <br />and then one must determine if such actions of a brother is the cause of trespass,<br />or if our idea of righteous behavior has gone beyond our authority and we have moved to judge. <br /><br />Waiting for God's timing is recognizing the providence of God,<br />knowing that he has chosen the time and place for us to move in faith, <br />and then to be obedient to the revelation of the Spirit.<br /><br />This requires prayer, not interference; and/or love, not judgment.<br /><br />WWJD?
